1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Mmju mobile application ("the App"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this User Agreement ("Agreement"). If you do not agree to all terms and conditions of this Agreement, you may not use the App.

This Agreement applies to all users of the App, including visitors, registered users, and contributors of content. Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into this Agreement.

2. App Description

Mmju is an AI-powered personal finance application designed to simplify expense tracking and financial management. Key features include:

• Smart Transaction Recording: Describe purchases in text or capture receipt photos; the App automatically extracts and records transaction details including amount, category, merchant, and date.
• Financial Visualization: Interactive charts display income, expenses, spending trends, and category breakdowns.
• AI Chat Assistant: Query your financial data and receive budgeting advice through our AI chat interface.
• Financial Diary: Attach text and image notes to financial entries for enhanced context.
• Device-Based Storage: All user data is stored locally on your device to ensure privacy and security.

3. Privacy & Data Security

Mmju prioritizes user privacy through the following measures:

• Local Data Storage: All financial data, transaction records, notes, and images are stored exclusively on your mobile device.
• No Cloud Storage: We do not transmit, store, or backup your financial data on external servers without your explicit consent.
• Data Ownership: You retain complete ownership of all data you input into the App.
• Device Security: The security of your data depends on the security measures you implement on your device. We recommend using device encryption, strong passwords, and regular backups.
• Optional Data Sharing: Some AI features may process data temporarily for functionality, but no persistent storage occurs on external servers.

4. Virtual Currency System

Mmju utilizes a virtual currency system ("Coins") to access certain AI-powered features:

• Usage: Coins are consumed when using specific AI features such as receipt parsing, financial insights, and advanced chat queries.
• In-App Purchases: Additional Coins may be purchased through in-app transactions via official app stores.
• No Refunds: All virtual currency purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law.
• Non-Transferable: Coins are tied to your device installation and are not transferable between devices or users.
• No Monetary Value: Coins have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money.

5. User Responsibilities

As a user of Mmju, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information when using the App's features
• Maintain the security of your device and App installation
• Use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with this Agreement
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App
• Not use the App to manage finances on behalf of others without proper authorization
• Comply with all applicable local, provincial, national, and international laws and regulations
• Assume responsibility for all activities that occur under your use of the App

6. Intellectual Property

The Mmju application, including its design, features, content, and all intellectual property rights therein, are owned by Mmju or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You retain ownership of all data you input into the App. However, you grant Mmju a limited license to process such data solely for the purpose of providing App functionality.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permissible under applicable law, Mmju disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of financial information or advice provided by the App
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Warranties regarding the results that may be obtained from use of the App

Financial information and advice provided by the App is for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional financial advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Mmju shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

1. Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the App
2. Any conduct or content of any third party on or related to the App
3. Any content obtained from the App
4. Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

In no event shall Mmju's total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount you have paid to Mmju in the past six months, or fifty Canadian dollars (CAD $50), whichever is greater.

9. Termination

This Agreement remains in effect while you use the App. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for any reason, including if you breach this Agreement.

Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. As your data is stored locally on your device, termination of this Agreement does not automatically delete your data. You are responsible for managing data on your device.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the App shall be resolved through final and binding arbitration in Toronto, Ontario, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify.

11. Changes to this Agreement

We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via email at least 30 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the revised Agreement constitutes your acceptance of the terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you must stop using the App.
